Walking from your hotel to the gates
From Hotel Zachary to the gates
Hotel Zachary was built as part of the Gallagher Way development and faces the ballpark's most recognisable corner. The route is a single crossing, but that crossing is the busiest pedestrian point in Wrigleyville within an hour of first pitch.
- 1Leave the lobby on the Clark Street side.
- 2Cross Clark at the Addison signal — marshals hold traffic on game days.
- 3The marquee entrance and Gate A are directly ahead.
Note: Bag-check lines at the marquee are the longest at the ballpark. Gate D on Sheffield is a 4-minute walk around and usually faster.
Leaving after the game
Clark and Addison is closed to vehicles after the final out, which makes walking back the fastest option by a wide margin. Rideshare pickup is pushed several blocks out to designated zones.

Our walkable-only rule
Every hotel on this page has a continuous pedestrian route from a Wrigley Field entrance: sidewalk, plaza or covered walkway, with no freeway crossing and no shuttle. Anything beyond roughly a 15-minute walk, or separated by a highway, river or rail corridor with no crossing, is excluded — however close it looks on a map.
