Walking from your hotel to the doors

Stay on the park side

The arena's main doors face Centennial Olympic Park Drive, and everything walkable is north and east of the building. The west side is rail yards and interstate ramps — not a walking route.

  1. 1Walk toward Centennial Olympic Park and follow the park's south edge.
  2. 2Cross Marietta Street at the signal to the arena plaza.
  3. 3Use the main doors on the park side rather than circling toward the rail deck.

Frequently asked questions

Can you walk from Centennial Olympic Park hotels to a Hawks game?

Yes. The park-side hotels are five to thirteen minutes from the arena on continuous downtown sidewalk.

Is Midtown Atlanta walkable to State Farm Arena?

No. Midtown is a couple of miles north — take MARTA to GWCC/CNN Center or Five Points instead.

Our walkable-only rule

Every hotel on this page has a continuous pedestrian route from an entrance visitors actually use at State Farm Arena, measured through the surrounding streets rather than across the block. Anything beyond roughly a 15-minute walk, or separated by a highway, river or rail corridor with no crossing, is excluded — however close it looks on a map.
