Kia Center — the arena Orlando fans still call the Amway Center — sits at 400 W Church Street in downtown Orlando, and four downtown hotels are inside a 15-minute walk on continuous sidewalk. The Marriott on Livingston Street is the closest at about nine minutes, and the Orange Avenue hotels put you in the middle of the post-game bar strip. Nothing here involves International Drive or a rideshare surge.

Google Maps may choose a different gate or omit private indoor connections; follow the listed route notes and venue access rules for onsite hotels.
International Drive and airport hotels are excluded — they are 10 or more miles out. The Creative Village and Parramore hotels west of the arena are also left off because the route crosses the Interstate 4 corridor on ramps that are not a comfortable game-night walk.
Walking from your hotel to the doors
Downtown grid, one direction to remember
The arena's main doors face Church Street on the east side of the building, which is the side every downtown hotel walks in from. If you can find Orange Avenue, you can find the gates.
- 1Walk to Orange Avenue and head south to Church Street.
- 2Go west on Church Street for three to four blocks — the arena is the glass building on your right.
- 3Enter at the Church Street plaza doors rather than circling to the Hughey Avenue side, which faces the highway ramps.
Note: After the final buzzer the Church Street bars absorb the crowd, so the walk back east clears quickly.
Magic games and concerts
Concert nights end in one wave and the rideshare lot on Hughey backs up badly, which is exactly when a 10-minute walk wins. Magic games spread out more and downtown parking garages empty within half an hour.

Can you stay on International Drive and walk to a Magic game?
No. International Drive is roughly 10 miles southwest of the arena. If you are staying there, plan on driving, a rideshare, or the Lynx bus into downtown.
Is the walk from downtown Orlando hotels safe at night?
The Church Street and Orange Avenue route is lit, has signaled crossings and stays busy with event crowds. We keep the recommended routes on that grid rather than the Interstate 4 ramp side of the building.
