Hotels you can walk to

Walk times are estimates based on an average adult walking pace from the listed entrance. Actual times vary with your gate, game day crowd flow, and street closures. Google Maps may choose a different gate or omit private indoor connections; follow the listed route notes and venue access rules for onsite hotels.

Downtown Syracuse hotels are just over a mile away and involve a long, steep climb back up the hill after the game, so they fall outside our rule.

Walking from your hotel to the gates

It is all uphill from downtown

The Dome sits on top of University Hill. Anything downtown is a downhill walk out and a hard climb back, which is why we only count the campus and East Genesee properties.

  1. 1Leave the hotel onto University Avenue.
  2. 2Walk south past the Schine Student Center.
  3. 3Enter at Gate B or Gate E on the west side of the Dome.

Note: The Dome is indoors, so weather changes nothing about the walk — but the hill is exposed and windy in November.
